Brett Favre: Retired?
Friday, April 25, 2008
Brett Favre was on David Letterman last night and the way I took it is that he left the door open for a return to the NFL. He did state that he has not filed the the paper work. He said nothing about enjoying retirement or that he is going to miss playing the game of football. He did say that he will see what happens around the time of training Camp in July. Which brings me to the conclusion that he may return next season to ploay in the NFL. Would he play some where else? that was not a question that was asked, but he did say that Aaron Rodgers is the starting QB.

A follow up on a Madden Curse Strikes again Brett Farve is on the Cover on Madden 09. So does get rid of the curse? If he comes back is this a challenge to show that it is not a curse to be on the cover? I guess we will find out in July!

If you missed the interview last night feel free to click Farve on Letterman.

Wild Weekend Pre Superbowl wrap up.!!
Monday, January 21, 2008
The Superbowl Match up is set and if you look at it I was close to having the right teams in it. In the AFC I the Patriots. I wish I would of picked them to go undefeated but couldn't. In the NFC I had the Right Division but wrong team. I still have to go with the Pat's in the bowl. I think the Giants have the tools to win, but Brady and foe are on a mission. I still think Randy Moss will win the MVP. He is going to show why he is a game changer. I love the turn around that he has made.

In the NFC I feel Brett will ride again for a 19th season. I think that Dallas proved they could be for real and I think that you have to watch out for the Saints to coming Marching in again Next year. The Bears have finally made the right choice in letting Kyle Orton compete for the starting job. I think that Philly has alot of problems to address and I think that Arizona could be the real deal if they get good QB play.

In the AFC I think that the Patriots will rise again. I do not think anyone will beat them right away. I feel the Chargers have a really good thing to build on now that they got the monkey of losing in the playoffs off there back. The colts will be great again no matter who there coach is and the Tuna will lead Miami back to the Process Land. Last but not least next year will be the year the steelers get back to the Superbowl. I will make a final wrap up of team needs after the Superbowl.

May the Force be with you!

Brett Favre: Is he the Greatest QB of all time?
Thursday, September 27, 2007

Brett Favre was drafted a no name player out of University of Southern Mississippi, in the 2nd round by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1991 NFL Draft. He was later traded to the Green Bay Packers. He was on the bench for the first 3 games of the season, when he got his call. He has started in every game since then. He has played in 241 regular season games and 261 total games(including playoffs). He has lead his team from behind many times to win a game. He been name League MVP 3 times. Has lead his team to 2 Superbowl's, winning the first and losing the second to the Denver Broncos. He owns his rival Chicago bears with a record of 22 wins and 8 loses with a 12-2 record in Chicago. His longest pass of 99 yards came against the bears. He then thrives in the big games. He know holds many NFL records including most career pass completions (5,101) Most Career Regular season Wins by a Quarterback (150). Most seasons with 30 or more Touchdown Passes (8). As of Right now he is about 3000 yard off of breaking the career passing yard record of 61,361.

The only knock I see against him is that he has only led his teams to 2 superbowls, he only has one ring. He is still a remarkable QB. I like the way that he handles himself on and off the field. In 2004, he helped the Katrina victims by sending food and water and materials to help rebuild.

He always seems to come up big in games when something bad has happened to his family. His father died the day before they were to play a Monday night game in Oakland. Everyone was not sure he was going to play and he came out and led his team to victory by throwing 4 touchdown passes. He is absolutely amazing and my feeling is that there will never be another Quarterback like him. I may be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but I love watching Brett Favre Play. I would take him on my team no matter how old he is . What are your thoughts about him being the greatest of All time? If you do not think he is one of the greatest of all time who is?
